How can I get involved?

Our philosophy is that the entire Lyme community needs to come together to deliver lasting change to the way the NHS and UK government treats Lyme disease patients in the UK.

We therefore invite and welcome support of all kinds to meet Caudwell LymeCo charity’s objectives, including fundraising activities, awareness raising work of any kind, and more general voluntary work for the charity.

See below you can get involved, or contact us via the details at the bottom of this page.

Individual Support

Simply Donate

You can make a one-off donation to our charity via the button below.

Or you can become a LifeLyme member and make a difference every month by giving a regular gift donation of any size.

For other ways to donate, visit our Donate Now page.

Fundraise For Us

You can get involved by helping us raise the money that we need in order to find cures for Lyme disease patients. This will provide the solutions that Lyme disease patients really need.

Organise an event or bake sale, or take on a challenge and get your friends and family to sponsor you. You don’t have to be fit or sporty. There are all sorts of challenges for people of all sorts of abilities.

We’re currently recruiting for fundraising volunteers to take on some Lymewalks in May 2020. Check out the webpage for more information.

And we have heaps more ideas for fundraising activities you can organise in our fundraising pack.

Leaving a gift in your Will

After you’ve provided for your family, you may want to leave something in your Will to the charitable causes that you care passionately about.

If Lyme disease is something that’s affected your life or those you love and you want to help the future of this charity, then leaving a gift of any size in your Will is a way you can do this.

For an informal chat to find out more, get in touch. Our contact details are at the bottom of the page.

Send an ecard!

Switch to ecards, help our charity, and save the planet.

We’ve teamed up with DontSendMeACard where you can support our charity by giving what it would have cost to send cards. You can then send loved ones ecards instead!

Check out our ecards – they cover many occasions!

Get in touch to see how we can work together.

Trusts & Foundations

We seek support from Trusts, Foundations and grant makers who have an interest in medical research, awareness raising and patient support.

If you are from a charitable Trust or Foundation, or work within an organisation who has their own Trust, do get in touch.

Volunteering

If you’re passionate about helping us raise awareness of Lyme disease and have a little time to spare, you can help us to spread the word in your local community and educate family, friends and the general public on Lyme disease prevention and recognition.

You could:

  • ask nearby outdoor activity centres or nature reserves if you can give them some information to display in their visitor centre.
  • deliver an online awareness talk to a group in your area (or anywhere in the UK!).
  • ask your local schools or scout groups if you can give a presentation to the children. Schools are likely to be particularly interested at the start of spring term, when the tick biting season is beginning.
  • man a stand at a local country fair giving out info on Lyme disease.
  • hold a small fundraising event or coffee morning to raise funds.

For more info, check out our volunteering webpage.
