Recruitment: Caudwell LymeCo is seeking a Fundraising Manager

Caudwell LymeCo Charity raises money to fund desperately needed research into Lyme disease. We also educate the public on Lyme disease prevention and awareness and, having worked with NICE to develop treatment guidelines for Lyme disease, we advise patients on current treatment standards. The charity is chaired and sponsored by British entrepreneur and philanthropist Mr. John Caudwell who pays all administrative expenses, meaning public donations are reserved exclusively for funding Lyme disease research.

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager with a demonstrable track record of leading fundraising activities through multiple channels and of successful income generation.

The right candidate will be given considerable freedom to propose and action appropriate fundraising ideas for this niche charity that supports a rare illness. You will lead on engagement with individuals and communities, strengthening relationships with current donors and supporters and recruiting new donors and campaign volunteers. You will develop and maximise income from new and existing fundraising streams.

This is a very small charity and you will, initially, perform this role without support staff. You will be expected to take an “all hands on deck” approach to your work.

If invited to interview, you will be asked to describe examples of past work which demonstrate your track record in planning, building a donor base and income generation. You will be expected to discuss your ideas on how you would like to develop the fundraising arm of Caudwell LymeCo and connect with new donors.

Knowledge of Lyme disease is not required, however an interest in learning about this illness is important and experience of working for another medical charity may be an advantage.

This role will be based in our offices close to Eccleshall, Staffordshire. Working from home for some days per week is a possibility.

Salary: approximately £40k depending on experience.

For further information on the role, telephone the charity on 07342 882111 or email your CV and application letter to lymecocharity @
